Second Video: LOVE KICKSTARTS AGAIN

Song: Love kick-starts again
Artist: Example
Producer:  Data Records

Styles:

Impressionistic: The video uses Multimage well to show that the video shows a realistic situation of people breaking up with people but finding the spark in their relationship again.

Conventions:

Lyric Interpretation: The lyrics can be interpreted as trying to leave a relationship but falling in love again with the person you’re with.

Techniques:

Miming/Lip syncing: The Main character is lipsyncing to the lyrics as the music has obviously been made in a studio and to fit the muiltitude of Multi-mage into the video must require the character to lip-sync.

Cutting to beat: In the video, there is ALOT of cutting to beat. The video seems to cut mostly to the beat of the bass than the main tune but this allows the video to change the shot so that it shows another person their doing the same action. This is used as part of its style as it shows that hundreds of people engage in the actions similar to the video and end up doing exactly the same thing as the protagonist.

Multimage: This is the main feature used within the video. It is used to such an extent that it can almost be described as being in rapid succession of one another. Like it was explained in the ‘Cutting to Beat’ section, it shows how many people get into the same situation as the main character. It is also used to show how happy people can be.

Camera Shots: the shots seem to focus on mid-shots, Long shots and Close-ups of objects. The close-ups are to show actions, reactions of people or for comical effect such as at 0.56 and 2.15. The Long shots are mostly used to show the character’s emotions and how they are feeling or the location and surroundings around them such as at 1.55 with the table and the look of their faces. Mid shots are mostly used for the parts with the main protagonist singing.
